As the May 13, 2013 mid-term elections draw nearer, the Department of Education assures teachers’ readiness to serve as members of the Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs), Board of Canvassers (BOCs), and PCOS technicians.

Education Secretary Br. Armin A. Luistro FSC expresses its full confidence that the teachers are ready to do the job. “The Commission on Election has given training to the public school teachers who will again serve as PCOS technicians, and chairmen and members of BEIs and BOCs,” said Luistro.

The Department of Education and Government of Spain have lined up a series of capability-building activities for teachers of Spanish in public high schools to further improve their skills on the different aspects of learning and teaching a major foreign language.

The training seminars which will run from April to November this year will be conducted in different venues in Manila, Cebu and Granada, Spain. The Special Program in Foreign Language (SPFL) – Spanish is jointly implemented by DepEd, the Ministry of Education of the Government of Spain, Instituto Cervantes, Manila and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development.
