San Carlos’ Jonas Aquino became the first gold medalist of team Region 1 Athletic Association (R1AA) in shotput for 15 below boys category. Another San Carlenian athlete, Freddie Buenaventura settled for silver on the first day of Palarong Pambansa Paragames 2018 held at San Vicente Plaza, April 15.
San Carlos’ star player Anthony Peralta also snatched 3 gold medals for team R1AA in 100m, 200m and 400m run for 16 above boys category on April 16 and 17 at Quirino Stadium, Bantay, Ilocos Sur.
