Clarification on the Procedures and Guidelines for the Availment of the Property Replacement Fund

  1. With reference to DECS Order No. 128, s. 1991 on the Procedures and Guidelines for the Availment of the Property Replacement Fund, the following clarification is made:
    1. Requests for restoration/indemnification of damage or loss of property shall be prepared by the head of the school where the damaged structure is situated and submitted to DECS Central Office c/o Office of Planning Service through the DECS division/regional offices.In cases where several schools are affected e.g., typhoon damages, the division offices shall consolidate all requests for restoration/indemnification of property before submitting to the Central Office through their respective regional offices.
    2. The DECS field offices/schools are reminded to prepare promptly within thirty days the requests for restoration/indemnification of property to enable the Central Office to submit the Notice of Claim to GSIS within ninety (90) days after the damage or loss.
