Cognizant of the need to strengthen Science and Mathematics Education in the country, the Department of Education (DepEd), through the Bureau of Secondary Education (BSE) shall provide support fund to the 198 public secondary schools implementing the Science & Technology-Oriented (ESEP) Program and to BSE in the form of a nationwide lump sum from the 2012 DepEd General Appropriations.

The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Bureau of Elementary Education (BEE) is implementing the Special Science Elementary Schools (SSES) Project. To enhance the operation of the project, financial subsidy shall be downloaded to all implementing schools as shown in Enclosure No. 1 to augment their regular Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE).
