The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Technical-Vocational Unit (TVU) of the Bureau of Secondary Education (BSE) aims to sustain the initial gains of the Redesigned/Strengthened Technical-Vocational Education Program in providing high school graduates with opportunities to acquire certifiable vocational and technical skills for employment or entrepreneurship. Eligible Tech-Voc schools and selected Senior High Schools shall be entitled to receive the support fund, subject to the guidelines on availing, release, utilization, and liquidation thereof.
One of the mandates of the Department of Education (DepEd) is to preserve and teach the arts to subsequent generations of artistically-inclined or adept pupils and students. In line with this, DepEd implements a special program for the arts in selected schools in the country. Considerations in the selection of the schools were the availability of teachers in the different art areas and basic facilities for the arts.
In order to promote quality, science-oriented secondary education, additional financial assistance shall be granted to the Regional Science High Schools (RSHSs).
This Order's policies and guidelines pertain to the utilization of distribution funds (DFs) for the kindergarten activity sheets (KASs), elementary textbooks (TXs), teachers manuals (TMs), and K to 12 basic instructional materials (BIMs) procured by the Department of Education (DepEd) Central Office (CO).
Starting School Year 2011-2012, the Construction and Repair/Rehabilitation of the Regional Educational Learning Centers (RELCs) and Central, Regional and Division Offices shall observe the guidelines on this Order.
The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Instructional Materials Council Secretariat (IMCS), in collaboration with the Bureau of Elementary Education (BEE), Bureau of Secondary Education (BSE), and the Bureau of Alternative Learning System (BALS), shall provide instructional materials to Special Education (SPED) centers for children with special needs (i.e., the gifted/talented, intellectually deficient, visually impaired, hearing impaired, orthopedically handicapped, and children with speech defect, autism, health problems, and behavior problems).
