The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Technical-Vocational Unit (TVU) of the Bureau of Secondary Education (BSE) aims to sustain the initial gains of the Redesigned/Strengthened Technical-Vocational Education Program in providing high school graduates with opportunities to acquire certifiable vocational and technical skills for employment or entrepreneurship. Eligible Tech-Voc schools and selected Senior High Schools shall be entitled to receive the support fund, subject to the guidelines on availing, release, utilization, and liquidation thereof.
The Revised Guidelines on the Utilization of the Financial Support Fund to the Secondary Schools Special Education (SPED) Program was issued through DepEd Order No. 98, s. 2011. However, the format for the utilization of funds in Items a, b, c, d, e, f and g are hereby added and/or corrected based on the format of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
In line with the thrust of the Department of Education (DepEd) to synchronize and decentralize the conduct of training programs designed to improve the professional competencies of teachers and other field practitioners, the Technical-Vocational Task Force (TVTF) through the DepEd Central Office Budget Division has downloaded training funds in the form of sub-ARO to the 16 DepEd Regional Offices.
The Guidelines for the Transfer of Funds for the DepEd Internet Connectivity Project (DICP) was issued through DepEd Order No. 113, s. 2009. However, schools that are covered by SatCos have a different scheme for application compared to Telecommunications Companies (TelCos).
To address the queries of implementing units (secondary schools and division offices) regarding the process of payments for internet connectivity contracts in which funding will expire this year, this Department through the Technical Service-Information and Communications Technology Unit (TS-ICTU) shall add the following guidelines to DepEd Order No. 113, s. 2009.
In order to strengthen the operation and maintenance of all Regional Science High Schools and to make them more efficient and effective in their primary task of promoting and improving science education, starting SY 2009-2010, a class size of 35 and a Teacher Student Ratio of 5:3 will be utilized in the allocation of DepED resources, specifically in the deployment of teachers.
For the guidance of all concerned, the enclosed implementing guidelines of the Educational Service Contracting (ESC) and Tuition Fee Supplement (TFS) shall take effect in SY 2004-2005.
