In Grades I and II, Music is integrated in the different learning areas. It has been observed however, that Music is not being conscientiously integrated by Grades I and II teachers. It is therefore imperative that Grade I and II teachers intensify the integration of Music in the different learning areas.

For the information of all concerned, inclosed is a copy of Civil Service Commission (CSC) Memorandum Circular No. 34, s. 1998 relative to an amendment to Section 3, Rule XVII of the Omnibus Rules Implementing Book V of Executive Order No. 292 (Administrative Code of 1987) in order to conform with the provision of Section 23 or grave offenses of the same Rules as amended by CSC MO No. 23, s. 1998.

This is to reiterate DECS Order No. 57, s. 1998 entitled Corrigendum  to DECS Order No. 47, s. 1998 which read: “Except the nonformal education coordinators who should work on full-time basis, provided they should perform the duties and responsibilities stated in DECS Order No. 82, s. 1994”.  To continue operationalizing the above cited duties and responsibilities, this Office hereby enjoins the officials concerned to retain the full-time assignment of all District NFE Coordinators whose role in the NFE program is very critical.
