In view of the changes in the time allocation for Science and Araling Panlipunan from 400 minutes to 360 minutes/week and from 200 minutes to 240 minutes/week, respectively, the unit credits in these subjects are adjusted correspondingly as follows: Science shall be credited 1.8 units, and Araling Panlipunan, 1.2 units.

Education for All (EFA) recommends the expansion of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) coverage specifically for children in the disadvantaged areas. In support of this goal and the Department’s objective of reducing dropout and repetition rates particularly in Grades I to III, Preschool Service Contracting Program will continue its implementation in October 2004 to March 2005.
