For the information and guidance of all concerned, the Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed Guidelines on the Proper Recording and Booking-Up of School Building.
To operationalize the said Indigenous Peoples (IPs) framework, the DepEd felt the need to establish a mechanism for the mobilization, implementation and coordination of all programs and projects of this Department pertaining to IPs Education. Accordingly, the Creation of the IPs Education Office (IPsEO) is important to ensure continued delivery of quality education to the IPs Learners.
DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2011 entitled “Revised Flowchart on the Allocation and Deployment of New Teacher Items” is amended to add the process of payment of salaries of newly-hired appointed teachers in the enclosed revised flowchart, which shall be implemented starting School Year (SY) 2012-2013.
In line with DepEd Order No. 70 s, 2010 entitled “Guidelines on the Implementation of the Project SHELTER (Socialized Housing for Employees and Teachers),” a Housing Committee shall be reorganized in the Central Office to coordinate the activities relevant to the housing program for the DepEd teachers and employees in the central, regional and division offices.
The Department of Education (DepEd) authorizes the implementation of the School Furniture Program (SFP) under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
The Civil Service Commission (CSC), under the CSC Resolution dated October 18, 2011 (copy enclosed), has approved the modification to the Qualification Standards (QS) for the position of Baguio Teacher’s Camp Superintendent in the Department of Education (DepEd).
For School Year (SY) 2012-2013, the one hundred fifty three (153) secondary schools implementing the Special Education (SPED) Program (focused on disabilities) which submitted the enrolment data shall be granted Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP500,000.00) subsidy for the effective delivery of service to the students with exceptionalities.
The National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) shall administer the qualifying process for interested applicants to Principal I positions. The enclosed revised guidelines with the corresponding flowchart of processes guidelines shall be utilized in administering the qualifying process to be conducted by the NEAP in close coordination with the Schools Divisions Offices (DOs) through the Regional Offices (ROs).
For the information and guidance of all concerned, enclosed is a copy of Republic Act (RA) No. 10154 dated July 14, 2011 entitled “An Act Requiring Government Agencies to Ensure the Early Release of the Retirement Pay, Pensions, Gratuities and Other Benefits of Retiring Government Employees,” which is self- explanatory.
Pursuant to DepEd Order Nos. 37 and 51, s. 2011, the Department of Education (DepEd) through the Bureau of Elementary Education (BEE) has downloaded funds to all regions and divisions for the support on the implementation of the said policy direction, particularly those children in vulnerable, disadvantaged and underserved areas.
