In October 2004, Executive Order 366 (EO) Directing A Strategic Review of the Operations and Organizations of the Executive Branch and Providing Options and Incentives for Government Employees Who May Be Affected by the Rationalization of the Functions and Agencies of the Executive Branch directed a strategic review of the operations and organizations of the Executive Branch.
Pursuant to Republic Act No. 9485, the Department of Education (DepEd) reiterates its compliance to Administrative Order No. 241 dated October 2, 2008, entitled Mandating the Speedy Implementation of Republic Act No. 9485 Otherwise Known as the “Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007” and Its Implementing Rules and Regulations and Strengthening the Application Thereof’ which was disseminated in DepEd Memorandum No. 502, s. 2008.
The Department of Education (DepEd) has established the Office of Undersecretary for Partnerships and External Linkages (OUPEL) which is composed of the Undersecretary for Partnerships and External Linkages, its executive assistants, project manager and members of the Adopt-a-School Program (ASP) Secretariat, and personnel and staff of the International Cooperation Office (ICO), among others.
