In relation to the DepEd Order (DO) No. 19, s. 2016 entitled Guidelines on the Organizational Structures and Staffing Patterns of Stand-alone and Integrated Public Senior High Schools (SHS), the Department of Education (DepEd) issues the following additional guidelines and clarifications.
In December 2014, the Department of Education (DepEd) issued DepEd Order (DO) No. 49, s. 2014 Guidelines on the Functions and Assignment of School Health and Nutrition Personnel in the Implementation of the DepEd Rationalization Program, which emphasized the moratorium on the implementation of plantilla and personnel actions for the School Health and Nutrition (SHN) units and personnel.
The Department of Education (DepEd) adopts the enclosed Basic Education Research Agenda which provides guidance to DepEd and its stakeholders in the conduct of education research and in the utilization of research results to inform the Department’s planning, policy, and program development aligned with its vision, mission, and core values.
Further to DepEd Order (DO) No. 46, s. 2015 entitled Detailed Guidelines on the Implementation of the Senior High School (SHS) Voucher Program, the Department of Education (DepEd) issues this Order to provide clarifications and additional information.
In relation to DepEd Order No. 5, s. 2016 entitled Declaring January 30, 2016 as Commencement of Early Registration for School Year 2016-2017, the Department of Education (DepEd) issues the following clarifications for learners entering Kindergarten.
In line with the implementation of Republic Act No. 10533, otherwise known as Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 (K to 12 Law), the Department of Education (DepEd) is adopting the enclosed Policy Guidelines on Awards and Recognition for the K to 12 Basic Education Program.
In line with the implementation of Republic Act No. 10533, or the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, the Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed policy on The Learning Action Cell (LAC) as a K to 12 Basic Education Program School-Based Continuing Professional Development Strategy for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning.
The Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed Procedures on Encoding and Data Processing for the Senior High School (SHS) of Learners in Private Schools, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) in the Learner Information System (LIS) for Beginning of School Year (SY) 2016-2017.
In line with Item five of the President’s Ten Point Basic Education Agenda which states that every child should be a reader by Grade 1, the Department of Education (DepEd) remains steadfast in strengthening its reading program through the implementation of the Early Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Program.
The Department of Education (DepEd) hereby issues this Addendum to DepEd Order No. 3, s. 2016 (Hiring Guidelines for Senior High School [SHS] Teaching Positions) to supplement and clarify provisions of the said Order.
