PASIG CITY, November 6, 2017 – To further strengthen the spirit of solidarity among its Central Office (CO) personnel, the Department of Education (DepEd) held its annual Family Day on October 27 at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig City.
Anchored on the theme, “Isang Pamilyang DepEd,” this effort aimed to foster closer ties and camaraderie among DepEd CO employees, and to yield a more efficient and effective group of policy makers and program implementers.
Undersecretaries Jesus L.R. Mateo and Lorna D. Dino, and other DepEd officials in attendance cheered for their respective teams. The two ExeCom members highlighted the importance of providing DepEd employees with venue to channel their creativity, competence, and unity while creating a greater bond among DepEd CO employees, which will lead to a more efficient and effective delivery of quality, accessible, relevant and liberating basic education for all.
DepEd employees actively participated in fun and exciting activities and games prepared by the Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD), including team color representation design, cheer dance competition, station course relay, planting rice, three-legged race, and shoot that ball.
