PES – Central’s Kariton Klasrum now rolling

Parañaque Elementary School- Central (PES- Central) was among the chosen schools to  implement KARITON KLASRUM, an advocacy program of the   Department of    Education which aims to promote literacy and provide alternative learning opportunities to children at risk on the street (CAROTS) from ages 4 to 9.
DepEd NCR funded and provided the push cart, school  supplies, first-aid kits, and other hygienic freebies for the learners while the PES-Central’s Kariton Klasrum facilitators tapped the Supervisors, school leaders and volunteer teachers for food provision. The non-teaching personnel extended their helping hands in maintaining the cleanliness of the learning area and watched the safety of the learners, teachers and the “kariton” as well.

Seven volunteer teachers/ facilitators   headed by Mrs. Angelica A. Libera, Education   Supervisor for Alternative Learning System (ALS) went on a house-to-house visitation to recruit    learners. Through the support of Brgy. Kagawad Erlinda Calazan, the program was disseminated in the entire San Dionisio community. Informed     parents eagerly sent their children to learn, love and appreciate learning more.
