PASAY CITY, November 29, 2022 – The Department of Education (DepEd) noted the significance of effective public service to education stakeholders as they garnered three awards during the 2022 Career Executive Service (CES) Lifelong Learning for Leadership Congress (CESCON) on Thursday at Philippine International Convention Center.

“We, at the Department of Education, would like to ensure that the agency continues to provide effective and efficient services to the Filipino people, especially our teachers and learners,” Undersecretary for Human Resource and Organizational Development Gloria Jumamil-Mercado stated.

CESB recognized DepEd as the Agency with a High Career Executive Service Performance Evaluation System (CESPES) Compliance Rate for CY 2021, which a rating of 92%.

Furthermore, DepEd was also able to take home the National Government Agency with Highest Occupancy Rate award with 77.54% as of September 30 and Outstanding Human Resource (HR) Partner for 2022.

“DepEd would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the CESB for appreciating the effort of the Department. These achievements would surely boost the morale of our agency in providing service to the public,” Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD) Director III Jennifer Lopez, CESO IV said.

On behalf of Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Z. Duterte, Undersecretary Jumamil-Mercado, and BHROD Director Anne Rachel Miguel and Director Nina Bianca Sanglay, Director Lopez and other personnel from the strand formally received the award for the Department.

During the three-day program, Commission on Civil Service (CSC) Chairperson Karlo Nograles also administered the oath of 96 new CES eligibles who pledged loyalty and devotion to the growing CES community.  Moreover, senior CES officials joined them in the ceremonial pinning.
