April 01, 2026 – The Department of Education (DepEd) will conduct a series of orientation sessions to guide school leaders, teachers, and education stakeholders on the implementation of the three-term school calendar beginning School Year 2026–2027.
The orientation will begin this April, immediately after the issuance of the relevant policies, starting with regional and pision officials and school heads.
Orientation sessions for master teachers and classroom teachers will be conducted in May. This schedule ensures that teachers can fully observe their 30-day break this April and will not be required to report during their rest period.
These orientations aim to provide clear guidance and ensure stability across schools as preparations for the next school year begin. DepEd is working to make the transition orderly, well-supported, and with minimal disruption to teaching and learning.
The shift forms part of the Department’s broader effort to improve the quality of basic education, strengthen instructional planning, and ensure that schools are better supported in delivering the K to 12 curriculum.
Further details on the orientation schedule and participation guidelines will be released soon.
