RD ALLAN G. FARNAZO

Allan Gabriel Farnazo has been with the Department of Education for around two decades. He is the Regional Director of Region XI, but he had served as regional director in other regions since 2012. He left a significant mark in all the regions he handled as he shared his expertise in educational administration, supervision, and management, curriculum materials development, research and development, guidance and counseling, and special education among others. In fact, he had his trainings on SPEd at Tsukuba University in Japan, Daegu University in Korea, University of Adelaide in South Australia, Fukui University in japan, and Nara Women’s University, Japan. Aside from all these countries, he also had a training on school leadership at New York, USA. All the knowledge and experiences he engaged into were spent leading the regions by example.

Dr. Farnazo obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Institutional Development and Management at Sultan Kudarat State University in 2004, and Doctor in Theology (on-going) at the Ignatian Institute of Religious Education Foundation (IIREF). He ranked 9th in the National Educational Management Test in 2005 and passed the Career Executive Service Officer V in 2009. All these prepared him to become a high caliber official of DepEd leading as a regional director.
His experiences are so vast as he served a local government unit before his long sting in the Department. He was awarded as Outstanding Municipal Councilor from 1999 to 2001.

His recent career achievement is being named as Finalist of the 2020 Gawad Career Executive Service Award, an annual presidential recognition program for remarkable accomplishments and excellent performance.
