ASEC. EDSON BYRON K. SY

Asec. Sy is a distinguished legal professional with expertise spanning general corporate law, foreign investments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, anti-trust, banking and finance, real estate, and renewable energy laws. He provides strategic guidance to clients on the formation, structuring, and incorporation of business entities in the Philippines and oversees the registration of foreign investments with regulatory bodies such as the Board of Investments, Philippine Economic Zone Authority, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, and Maritime Industry Authority.

With a proven track record, Asec. Sy has played a key role in numerous acquisitions and the sale of assets and shares involving both local and multinational corporations. He has also served as counsel for underwriters in stock rights offerings of publicly listed companies. His expertise in anti-trust law includes advising clients on compliance and merger control requirements under the Philippine Competition Commission. He also demonstrates a strong commitment to corporate governance, serving as a director and corporate secretary for several Philippine corporations.

In addition to his legal practice, Asec. Sy shares his knowledge as a professorial lecturer at the Lyceum of the Philippines University – College of Law. He is also a licensed real estate broker, further diversifying his professional expertise.

Earlier, in 2008, he studied Chinese Studies at Sun Yat-Sen University in China.
