ASEC. NILO L. ROSAS

Asec. Nilo L. Rosas is a dedicated and accomplished education professional with over 30 years of experience. He has a profound mastery of the basic, general, and teacher education curriculum, excelling in the development and implementation of comprehensive curriculum enhancements.

From humble beginnings, Asec. Rosas rose to executive roles in both public and private education. His notable positions include Director of the Bureau of Higher Education (now CHED), Regional Director of DepEd NCR, DepEd Undersecretary for Programs, Projects, and Regional Operations, President of Philippine Normal University, Commissioner of the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC), and President of New Era University.

His career began as an elementary and high school teacher at Lourdes School of Quezon City, Xavier School, and Ateneo De Manila University. He then taught as a professor at the graduate level for institutions such as the University of the Philippines, University of Santo Tomas, Centro Escolar University, and Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

Asec. Rosas holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) and a Professional Diploma of Advanced Studies as a Teacher Education Specialist from Columbia University, earned through the Fulbright-Hays Scholarship. He completed his Master of Arts in International Education and Development at Stanford University under the Ford Foundation Scholarship. He has also undertaken specialized studies in School Leadership at Harvard University, Management and Leadership at Monash University in Australia, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the Philippine Normal University.

His dedication has been recognized through numerous awards, including the Most Outstanding Professional for Education by the PRC, the Global Education Award for Most Outstanding CEO, the Most Eminent Alumnus Award from Philippine Normal University, the Project Milestone Award from Columbia University, and the Excellence in Education Management Award from the Philippine Council of Management.
