Dr. Edward C. Jimenez is Director III of the Bureau of Learning Resources- Manila, Department of Education. He rose from the rank of public secondary school teacher, department head, and education program supervisor. He was appointed as a regular permanent in 2006 in SDO Bulacan. He also served as division and regional focal person and chief trainer in the development of different learning resources in the schools division offices and region office in Region III.

He holds the degree in Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education major in Technology and Home Economics, a Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) major in Educational Management, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) major in Development Education. He also received an honorary distinction as an honoris causa in Doctor in Pedagogy, Doctor in Humanities, Doctor in Public Administration, and Doctor in Literature. He currently holds the rank of Career Executive Service Office (CESO) IV of the Career Executive Service Board (CESB).

Known for his passion and dedication in the field of education, research and innovation, and public service, he has taken a dynamic and active part in crafting the policies on the provision of textbooks teacher’s manuals, and supplementary learning resources for all learners in the country. He serves as an international peer reviewer of research across the countries. And he also serves as an international and local speaker where he gives keynote addresses and shares expertise in the field of education and public service.
