RD TOLENTINO G. AQUINO

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in English, from Philippine Normal College (now Philippine Normal University), Manila.

During his time at PNC, he served as a staff writer and later became Editor-in-Chief of the college publication, a position he held for two academic years.

After graduating in 1987, he began teaching at St. Scholastica’s Academy in Marikina.

Upon obtaining his Teacher’s License, he transferred to Caloocan High School, then known as the Second Biggest Secondary School in Asia.
He was later promoted to Education Program Supervisor for English and eventually became a Public Schools District Supervisor in the Division of City Schools, Caloocan.

As a supervisor, he authored several reading improvement projects, including the Division Reading Improvement Program (DRIP), which was presented at RELC, Singapore.
He went on to become Assistant Schools Division Superintendent of Batangas Province, then Schools Division Superintendent of Batangas City, and later, Quezon Province.

He concurrently served as School Superintendent of Quezon Province and Cavite Province. In 2016, he was reassigned as Assistant Regional Director at DepEd Region V, then transferred to the National Capital Region, and later, DepEd Region I as OIC, Office of the Regional Director.

He has been serving as Regional Director of DepEd Region 1 since January 7, 2021.
