Usec. Trygve L. Olaivar has dedicated over 20 years to public service. A graduate of the University of the Philippines in 2004, he began his career with the Appointments Review & Investigation Services at the Commission on Appointments in 2005. In 2007, he joined the Commission on Elections, working closely with Commissioner Nicodemo Ferrer.

In 2012, he transitioned to the Senate of the Philippines, serving under Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr. His career progressed further in 2016 when he began working under former Senate President Edgardo J. Angara, gaining invaluable experience before moving to the Office of Senator Sonny Angara, where he served as Director IV for Political and Constituency Affairs.

On August 2, 2024, he was appointed Undersecretary of the Department of Education. Bringing a wealth of experience in government relations and public service, Usec. Olaivar is committed to serving the nation and advancing opportunities for lifelong learners.
