Lifting the Suspension on the Approval of Supplementary Books

  1. In view of the need to make available to the field instructional materials that will supplement the existing basic textbooks, and in order that pupils/students can be made more aware of changes in government thrusts and programs, the suspension on the approval of supplementary/books implemented under MECS Order No. 58, s. 1984 is hereby lifted.
  2. With the lifting of the bank, supplementary materials on specific learning areas identified in the inclosure will be accepted by the Instructional Materials Council for evaluation and approval effective immediately. The materials may be in the form of a work text, module, book or chart as suggested in the inclosure. It must follow the minimum learning competencies in the different learning areas for the elementary and secondary levels.
  3. Immediate dissemination of the contents of this Order is enjoined.
