  1. Pursuant to the mandate of Executive Order No. 117 and in order to relate agricultural education to the national needs more effectively and establish an integrated agricultural education sub-system, the membership of the Technical Panel for Agricultural Education (TPAE) as provided for in Section 5 of MECS Order No. 28, s. 1986 is hereby expanded to include as a panel member the Director of the Bureau of Technical and Vocational Education (BTVE) or his duly designated representative. This is to ensure that technical and vocational education in agriculture, forestry and fisheries will be properly taken care of within TPAE, thus avoiding fragmentation and duplication. Furthermore, TPAE is enjoined to include committee members and resource persons for technical/vocational education in agriculture, forestry and fisheries in the committee and teams of the panel.
  2. As a corollary to this, the functions of the Technical Panel for Technical/Vocational Education (TPTVE) relating to agriculture, forestry and fisheries education as provided in Section 4a of MECS Order No.63, s. 1983 are hereby transferred to TPAE in order to effect the necessary integration of the agricultural education sector.
  3. Henceforth, it is hereby ordered that TPAE shall provide backstopping support to BTVE and some of its linkages to strengthen the envisioned integration.
  4. This Order shall take effect immediately.
