Declaring the Period from December 23 to 30 of Every Year as Rizal Week

  1. The first Rizal week will be celebrated this year from December 23 to 30 conformably to Presidential Proclamation No. 54 dated December 19, 1986 which is reproduced on the reverse side of this Order.
  2. The Week should be observed with various activities to commemorate the martyrdom of the national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. All bureaus and officers under this Department as well as the different schools, colleges and universities are requested to extend full support to the programs and activities that may be organized in observance of the Week in order “to attain their full significance and impact to the nation.”
  3. It is desired that the contents of this Order be widely disseminated.
