DO 87, s. 1987
General Secondary/Vocational School Principals Not Entitled to Commutable Representation and Transportation Allowance

To: Bureau Directors
Regional Directors
Schools Superintendents
Vocational School Superintendents/Administrators

  1. This is in connection with DECS Order No. 71, s. 1987 entitled, “Updated List of DECS Officials Entitled to Monthly Commutable Representation and Transportation Allowance (RATA)”. Information has reached this Office that General Secondary and Vocational School Principals are claiming RATA benefits equivalent to the amount authorized for Chiefs of Divisions. The letter and list issued by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) which inadvertently included the positions of General Secondary School/Vocational School Principals among the recipients under Item G – Bureau of Secondary Education and which some enterprising DECS officials have unwittingly used as basis has been recalled and amended by DBM and the amended listing is inclosed with DECS Order No. 71, s. 1987.
  2. Dissemination of this Order to all concerned will be highly appreciated.
