Clarification on the Implementation of CAT in the Secondary Schools

  1. In reply to queries regarding the implementation of CAT I in the secondary schools, the following clarificatory statements are hereby issued for guidance:
    1. CAT I Program is still a requirement for all 4th year students (boys and girls) in the secondary schools unless otherwise revised in subsequent agreements;
    2. Girls may be excused from certain activities of the Program such as Field Stripping (Orientation to U.S. Rifle Cal. 30 M-L) and Manual of Arms (School of Soldiers with Arms). In lieu of these activities they may be given Advanced First Aid, Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Control.
  2. Immediate dissemination of this Order is desired.
