Maximization and Utilization of Services of PASMEP Fellows, SEDP Trainors and Other Foreign and Local Grantees

  1. Recipients of scholarships/grants and trainors’ training have covenants to render service as stipulated in their training contracts. They are expected to serve with dedication and commitment expected of scholars/fellows/trainors.
  2. The Staff Development component of the Secondary Education Development Programs (SEDP) includes foreign and local scholarship grants, namely: the Philippine Australian Science and Mathematics Education Program (PASMEP) for teachers of Science 3 and 4 and Mathematics 3 and 4; SEDP Fellowships, local and foreign under the Technical Assistance Program; training for the Faculty of Science and Mathematics from teacher training institutions; and training of trainors in the CENTREXES.
  3. The services of the returning scholars/grantees/trainors including those who undergo the DECS Integrated Scholarship Program should be fully utilized and optimized. They should be made available during regional/division/school in-service training with transportation expenses chargeable against local funds subject to its availability and in accordance with existing accounting and auditing rules and regulations. Assistance, likewise, should be given for training materials in staff development activities.
  4. Immediate dissemination of this Order is desired.
