- The Board of Examiners for the Librarians Licensure Examination has informed the Department of Education, Culture and Sports of new titles of subjects to be given in the Librarians Licensure Examination.

Selection and Acquisition of Materials Building Library Collection
Cataloguing and Classification Organization of Information Sources
Reference, Bibliography and User’s Services Information Sources and Services
Organization and Management Library and Information Management including Laws and Related Practices in Philippine Librarianship Code of Ethics
Abstracting and Indexing Information Technology Abstracting and Indexing Information Technology - These new titles and their corresponding syllabi were the result of a series of meetings conducted by the Board for Librarians with the academe.
- It is requested that all schools offering the Library Science courses make the necessary revisions in their curricula to make it responsive to this new development.
- Immediate and wide dissemination of this Order to all concerned is directed.
