Appointment of DOST-SEI Teacher Scholars on Provisional Status

- As provided for in DECS Order No. 25-D, s. 1994, scholar-graduates of the Cooperative Pre-Service Education for Science and Mathematics Teacher Program of the DOST-Science Education Institute (SEI) may be appointed on provisional status until they pass the Professional Board Examination for Teachers (PBET) and register as professional teachers. The list of scholar-graduates for SY 1994-1995 is inclosed with DECS Memorandum No. 176, s. 1995.
- This provision is contained in Civil Service Commission (CSC) Office Memorandum No. 50 dated June 13, 1994. It further states that “the provisional appointment shall not, however, exceed four years in which case they shall be automatically replaced by qualified registered teachers who are immediately available for employment”.
