Human and Ecological Security (HES) and Social Reform Agenda (SRA) in the Education Curriculum

  1. Cognizant of the importance of the SRA and HES in addressing social inequities in Filipino society and of achieving a just and lasting peace, there is a need to integrate the concepts of Social Reform Agenda (SRA) and enhance the lessons in Human and Ecological Security in both elementary and secondary schools curricula.
  2. Social Reform Agenda (SRA) shall be integrated in Heograpiya, Kultura and Sibika I-IV and Edukasyong Pantahanan at Pangkabuhayan (EPP) IV-VI in the elementary level and Araling Panlipunan I-IV in the secondary level. Enrichment lessons for environmental education shall be provided in all grade/year levels inasmuch as it is already part of the present Minimum Learning Competencies (MLC) and Desired Learning Competencies (DLC) for Science subjects, Araling Panlipunan in all grade/year levels.
  3. A Primer on the Social Reform Agenda for students teachers is attached to serve as reference material and guide.
  4. Immediate dissemination of and compliance with this Order is desired.
