Establishment of Education Centers Nationwide
  1. In line with the Education for All (EFA) goals crafted from the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to consolidate all initiatives for education that involve different stakeholders, the Department of Education (DepEd) through the Adopt-A-School Program (ASP) National Secretariat is hereby directed to establish Education Centers in 1,500 cities and municipalities nationwide.
  2. These education centers will harmonize the existing DepEd programs and projects that facilitate the involvement of local government units (LGUs), local communities, and the private sector.
  3. Each education center shall comprise the Library Hub, Brigada Eskwela Plus and the ASP. It will be a venue where parents can be active in the affairs of the school through the Parent Learning Support System and will serve as a knowledge management center where basic family records and community data can be stored.
  4. This Department’s Physical Facilities and Schools Engineering Division (PFSED) is also hereby instructed to coordinate with the ASP National Secretariat for the infrastructure requirements of these education centers.
  5. Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Order is directed.
