CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA -An exciting array of talents and skills of elementary and secondary students will be showcased as the Depertment of Eduation Region III holds the 3rd Regional Integrated Competition (RIC) on October 27-31 at the DepEd Regional Office, Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga The week-long celebration integrates seventy-two (72) contest in different subject areas such as Arts and Design, English, Math, Filipino, Science, Health and Nutrition and Technical and Vocational courses. Various competitions include Sining Tanghalan, Technolympics, Science Congress, Math Olympicsm English Oratorical Contest, Pop Quiz, Tagisan ng Talino, and Sineliksi. It also includes the 36th Regional Schools Press Conference wherein winners from the twenty schools division in Central Luzon will compete in differentr journalism and broadcasting contests such as Newswriting, Feature Writing, Copy Reading, Editorial Writing, Editorial Cartooning, Science Writing Scriptwriting, Radio Broadcasting, Collaborative Desktop Publishing and photojournalism. First conducted in 2012, the RIC aims to enable learners demostrate knowledge and understading of the concepts and skill learned, engance competence, and foster camaraderie through healthy and friendly competitions, EdpEd Region 3 has also spearheaded the first School Division Booth Contest in 2013 in which each division promotes and highlights the distinct products and services in each schools division. The twenty participating schools divbisions are Angeles City, Aurora, Bataan, Balanga City, Bulacan, Cabanatuan City, Gapan, MAbalacat City, Malolos City, Meycauyan City, Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija, Olongapo City, Pampanga, City of San Fernando, San Jose City, San Jose Del Monte, Tarlac Province, Tarlac City, and Zambales. The Opening Ceremonies will coincide with the Government CEnter Inified Flag Raising Ceremony on October 27 at the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Region III Covered Court.
