Monday, May 25, 2015

City of San Fernando, Pampanga—As part of the continuing efforts undertaken by the Department of Education to communicate K to 12 to the public, a Simultaneous K to 12 Mall Info Exhibit was launched on May 25-29 in all SM Supermalls in the Central Luzon which include SM City Pampanga, SM City Clark, SM City Tarlac, SM City Marilao, SM City Baliwag, and SM City Olongapo.

The five-day exhibit is one of the practical yet effective ways to conduct advocacy activities and maximize resources and efforts. Based on observations, malls provide the best venue to reach out to stakeholders and ensure the widespread dissemination of significant information about the K to 12 Program. Advocacy activities such as distribution of K to 12 leaflets and flyers, K to 12 Signature Campaign, and other communication activities may be conducted to ensure the success of this activity.

SDO Bulacan went an extra mile and conducted the Orientation and Forum on the Benefits and Updates on K to 12 Program and Senior High School and the Readiness of DepED to Implement Senior High School on May 27 at SM Marilao for all elementary school principals and their PTA presidents in EDDIS I and IV and on May 28 at SM Baliuag for EDDIS II and III.

SM Supermalls, through the leadership of the Regional Operations Managers in Central Luzon namely Engr. Junias Eusebio, Ms. Anna Datu, and Mr. Cesar Bondoc, provide free mall space accommodation to government agencies as part of its efforts for community involvement.•
