2015 HARVESTING EXCELLENCE AWARDING CEREMONY

February 1, 2016

By: Amaryllis Rodriguez

Harvesting Excellence in the realm of education with its counterparts and support systems (stakeholders) for 2015 was given recognition last February 1, 2016 at the Pavillion, DepEd Ecotech Center in Cebu City. This was a ceremony conducted to channel excellence in the performance of both academic and non-academic categories.

Participations from different divisions in DepEd-RO7 and its counter offices in the field graced the event. Rendering a production number, some personnel from DepEd-RO7 had an extended performance of their Sinulog Halad dance last January 15, 2016 in the ceremony. The gracing continued as the Lapu-Lapu Teachers’ Band and Mr. Allan Villacampa (EPS, FTAD of DepEd-RO7) serenaded the awardees and the attendees with such supreme taste and quality of music. Most chiefs from the different divisions in the Central Visayas Regional Office shared their participations in the ceremony as Dr. Luz C. Jandayan (Chief, ESSD of DepEd-RO7) and Dr. Emiliano Elnar (Chief, CLMD of DepEd-RO7) led the Philippine National Anthem and the invocation, respectively; and, Dr. Flordeliza Sambrano (Chief, HRDD of DepEd-RO7) expressed her warmest welcome message to all attendees. What caught the audiences’ attention was the 2015 Region 7 Roadmap, where all collated achievements and performances aligned with its regional targets for 2015, was presented through an audio-visual clip. Along with the other chiefs and the OIC-Regional Director of DepEd-RO7, Dr. Juliet A. Jeruta, Dr. Milagros Gabia (Chief, QAD of DepEd-RO7) presented and handed out the certificates to the awardees.

As a way of gratitude for the awards and recognitions, Dr. Shahbaz Khan (UNESCO, Director) expressed his response and acceptance to the volume of appreciation the agency has provided to the different support systems of DepEd-RO7 – all for the continued support for excellence.

This was a day of recognition, where most important people behind the support systems (stakeholders) for 2015 of DepEd-RO7 attended the ceremony. (Please refer to the list below)
