NEAP-NCR: Hub for Professional Development

As stipulated in DepEd Order no. 111, s. 2009 entitled “Establishment of the National Educators Academy of the Philippines in the Region” dated November 6, 2009 and in consonance with the New Structure under the Rationalization Program, the Regional Educational Learning Center (RELC) shall now be changed to National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP-NCR) located at # 20 Cepeda St., Concepcion, Marikina City. The training facility is under the supervision of the Human Resource Development Division that implements the training designs and programs in line with the standards and processes established by National Educators Academy of the Philippines-Central Office. Furthermore, the NEAP provides regional training guidelines for different service areas, provide technical assistance to teaching and non-teaching personnel and unify its overall programs and services with the national directions and standards set by the Central NEAP.

To realize its mandate, it commits itself to soaring high, maximizing educators’ potentials and acting as the prime mover of organizing the NCR ACADEMIA which stands for Accentuate Capacity Accountability and Dynamism of Education Managers through Induction and Advancement Programs. This was the product of the brilliant minds of Mr. Wilfredo E. Cabral and Dr. Felicino C. Trongco. Being branded as the training arm of the organization, HRDD-NEAP NCR institutionalized the high caliber members of the Academy.The Regional ACADEMIA Executive Committee is constituted as follows; Dr. Ponciano A. Menguito, Consultant; Mr. Wilfredo E. Cabral, Course Manager and Resource Person; Dr. Felicino C. Trongco, Dean and Course Coordinator; Philippine Association of Schools Superintendents (PASS)-NCR Chapter, Pool of Course Academic Mentors; Dr. Roger R. Morallos, Class Manager and Team Leader; Dr. Cecilia S. Concepcion, Mr. Josefino C. Pogoy Jr.,  and Mr. Alfredo G. Desamparo , Class Managers; NEAP Trained Facilitators; Mr. Paulino C. Garcia, Ms. Denia Z. Acosta and Mr. Tereso DL. Ubungin, Finance and Logistics Committee.

On February 16, 2016 a meeting was called by Dr. Felicino C. Trongco, Chief, HRDD-NEAP-NCR, to point out areas of improvements and strategically place NEAP as one of the best training venues and set the tagline “Your Academia of First Choice”. The NEAP-NCR Dream Board was conceptualized as a result of the collaboration and its vision by 2020. Furthermore, the ACADEMIA has set a target of working for accreditation of training programs and designs, tying up with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
