Leo was first discovered by her coach, Evangeline Liwanag during one of the Persons With Disabilities (PWD) Awareness Week celebration. Ms. Liwanag was very thankful for that moment when he finally met Leonardo for she was really scouting for more SPED athletes at that time.

Since then, she encouraged Leo to practice more and eventually, he is now an official athlete of the AQUATICS Event of the PALARO Special Games. He was a SILVER Medalist during the Region 1 Athletic Association (R1AA) Meet last year.
