Gov Cerilles, RD Borres award 10 Most Outstanding ZamboSurian Teachers

Gov. Antonio H. Cerilles and his staff worked a great deal of time to be able to highlight the array of activities for the weeklong celebration of the Province of Zamboanga del Sur in its 64th Founding Anniversary.

One of the events being looked forward to is the Annual Search for the Most Oustanding Teachers of the said division and the dinner party which was held at Subanen Hall, Provincial Government Complex, Dao, Pagadian City last September 12.

It was a gala night of triumph for the 10 teachers who made a boundless mark in the education department as well as their valuable contribution to their respective turfs.

The awardees identified namely; Juvy T. Empalmado, Elem. School Supervisor, Labangan District I; Arceli B. Alonzo, Elem. School Supervisor, Molave West District; Brigida C. Maribong, Elem. School Principal II, Kaangayan Elem. School; Rhodora B. Magno, Elem. School Teacher I, Molave Reg’l. Pilot School SPED Center; Girlie May C. Aranjuez, Elem. School Teacher III, Mahayag Central School; Nenita R. Rivera, Sec. School Principal I, Kabatan Nat’l. High School; Sevieh Z. Hamoy, Master Teacher II, Commonwealth Nat’l. High School; Analyn S. Cabanig, Sec. School Teacher I, Kabatan Nat’l. High School; Ambert S. Saavedra, Elem. School Principal II, Molave Reg’l. Pilot School SPED Center; Myrna G. Jala, Sec. School Principal I, Zambo. Del Sur Sports Academy.

The unveiling of this year’s awardees was headed by Gov. Cerilles himself along with other key officials of the province.

Dr. Isabelita Borres, DepEd RO9 Regional Director, keynote speaker, lauded the awardees for their exemplary service and commended their strong commitment in the academe and in their community.

These teachers have not only excelled in their pursuit of teaching and administrating schools, but they have also developed all-round skills and eventually attained remarkable achievement due to their passion in their work.

All those awardees have gone through stringent preliminary rounds of selection based on the comprehensive criteria set apart from their illustrious track record of academic and non-academic achievements, other qualities are also recognized such as a responsible citizen with positive values and attributes of a typical leader with a vision and having a collaborative skill just to name a few.

The selected teachers have something in common-they are role models for our students and community they live in.

For the awardees to be included in the roster of Most Outstanding Teachers are even more challenging alongside their demanding job.

A reception followed the award ceremony wherein guests were entertained that evening by a superb range of musical pieces by Mr. Hadji Alejandro who performed hits from his album.
