1840 School Heads attend SHDP: Foundation Course

Pursuant to Regional Memo. No. 116, s. 2016, the DepEd Region IX through the Human Resource Development Division(HRDD) recently conducted the first of the three modules of the training dubbed as School Heads Development Program(SHDP) Foundation Course.

The said training was divided into three tranches which kicked off first week of November and ended on the third week of December for the first tranche while the second tranche is scheduled on the month of February and March to give way to the upcoming National Schools Press Conference(NSPC) slated this January 2017.

Moreover, the last tranche is scheduled in the months of April and May next year.

The target participants are the 1840 school heads of both public elementary and secondary region-wide which intends to improve their capacity to manage respective station as well as to prepare the principal aspirants to handle responsibilities of a school administrator.

Hence, the program design is anchored on the National Competency Based Standards for School Heads (NCBSSH).

The learn-and-apply scheme is one of the important features of this program.  After attending each module, participants are expected to implement their Re-Entry Action Plan(REAP) before proceeding to the next module.
