2017 REGIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE & CONTESTS (RSPCC)

The Department of Education-National Capital Region through Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLN/ID) announces the conduct of the 2017 Regional Schools press Conference and Contests (RSPCC) with the theme ” Zlsr centurv Campus Journalists: Vanguards of Truth and Change / Pampaaralang Mamahayag sa lka-21 Siglo:Tagapagsulong ng Katotohanan at Pagbabago ” starting on August – Decembe r, 2Ot7 at the Division of Quezon City as Host Division.The Conference and Contests aim to

a. Display understanding of the significance of Journalism by expressing it through talents and skills in different areas f categories in campus journalism;
b. promote advocacy on social consciousness and environmental awareness;
c. Augment journalistic competence through fair and ethical use of social media and friendlY comPetitions;
d. Enhance journalism competence through healthy and friendly competitions;
e. provide a venue for an enriching learning experience for students interested in Journalism as a career or those who intend to use skill sets learned through campus journalism to give them a better edge in their chosen careers.

The Conference and Contests Activities shall include the following:

  • Editorial Cartooning / Kartuning
  • Photojournalism / Pagkuha ng Larawan
  • science and Health / Pagsulat ng Pang-Agham at Pangkalusugan
  • Radio Script Writlng and Broadcast Contest;
  • Collaborative and Desktop Publlshing (CDP) ContesU
  • TV Script Writlng and Broadcasting Contest (for Secondary Level);
  • Concurrent Sessions with Workshops for SPAs;
  • Search / Awarding of the Outstanding School Paper Advisers (SPAs) and Campus.Journalism (CJs) for Elementary and Secondary Levels
  • School Publlcation Group Contests
Recognizing and respectinS lntellectual Property Rights, the Department adheres to the rutes concerning plagiarism. This office reiterates its stand to dlsqualify school papers found to have copied and published texts, graphs, and other materials without duly acknowledging their sources. The qualifications covers all sections of the school paper whether they are published in print or PDF copy.
