Deped V, Saint Raphael Academy ink MOA for Senior High School Work Immersion Program Implementation

DepED Region V is again making a history in the implementation of the K-12 Senior High School Program as the first government agency to welcome Senior High School students for their work immersion.

On June 12, 2017, the Department of Education Regional Office V and the St. Raphael Academy (SRA) Legazpi City signed a Memorandum of Agreement on the work immersion of the GRADE 12 students of SRA- Legazpi. Under the said MOA, DepED Region V will be the work immersion venue of these students where they will undergo practical training and work exposure for 10 days (80 hours as a curriculum requirement).

The work immersion program for Senior High School is an important component of the grade 12 curriculum where the students will undergo appropriate exposure to the world of work in offices business establishments, or corporations engaged in business, activity or operations related to or has connection with the students’ field of study.

As a host in this work immersion, Deped Region V will deploy the students of SRA to the different division or offices of DepED Region V to help the students develop their knowledge and work ethics.

The said MOA signing was led by DepED Regional Director Ramon Fiel G. Abcede representing the DepED Regional Office and SR. Marilyn B. Gustillo, Principal of Saint Raphael Academy Legazpi. The activity was witnessed by DepED ROV Assistant Regional Director Tolentino Aquino, CLMD Chief Heidi Bolivar, Legal Officer Atty.
