DO 77, s. 1997
Revised Policy on the National Elementary Assessment Test (NEAT) and the National Secondary Assessment Test (NSAT)
To: Bureau Directors
Regional Directors
Schools Superintendents
Private Elementary and Secondary School Principals
Vocational High School Principals
- Inasmuch as the 1997 NEAT and NSAT were administered to randomly sampled schools only, the NEAT/NSAT grade will no longer be included in the computation of the student’s general average.
- However, the NEAT/NSAT scores may be utilized as baseline data for research on the competencies/skills of students. School heads who are interested to know how their students performed in the different competencies in the four (4) subject areas may request a report on the matter from the National Educational Testing and Research Center (NETRC) at a minimal cost.
- This policy is effective school year 1997-1998. This Order supersedes previous issuances on the matter.
- Widest and immediate dissemination of this Order is desired.
