Prohibition on Contributions to Athletic Meets and Other Similar Activities

- It has come to the attention of this Office that teachers and other DECS personnel are being asked to give contributions to support athletic meets and the forthcoming Palarong Pambasa.
- All such contributions, whether voluntary or compulsory, should stop immediately. If it is necessary to cancel the athletic meets in view of the depth of funds available from either the national or local government to support the sports activities, particularly the Plalarong Pambasa, then they should be cancelled.
- Henceforth, no similar contributions should be imposed on the teachers and other DECS personnel without the authority of the Secretary.
- Strict compliance is enjoined.
