Constituting the DECS National Project Team for Food Production

1.   The following are herby constituted members of the DECS National Project Team for Food Production (DECS-NPTFP) effective immediately:
a.   National Steering Committee

            b.   Technical Working Group (TWG)
                   Asst. Directors / Chiefs of Divisions/Permanent Alternate (One from  each Bureau/Center/Office)
2.   The NPTF will be charged with the following functions:
a.   Steering Committee
1.   To formulate general policies and guidelines supportive of food production
2.   To develop direction/macro plane to implement the program
3.   To initiate national activities to promote the program, to wit: training, advocacy among others
4.   To monitor the implementation of food production at all education levels in the regions
5.   To provide technical assistance/consultancy services to regional project teams particularly resolutions of issues and concerns needing policy action or national response
6.   To coordinate the sourcing of technical administrative or logistical support for the program
7.   To provide leadership in the evaluation of the program relative to process and product
8.   To apprise the Secretary on the progress/status of the program in the regions (quarterly)
9.   To establish/strengthen linkages with prospective/active supportive of food production (legislators, donors –  local and foreign)
b.   Technical Working GroupThis body will serve as the technical secretariat of the NPTFP.
