1. For the information and guidance of all concerned, inclosed is a copy of Administrative Order No. 273 dated March 26, 1992 of the Office of the President of the Philippines enjoining all government agencies including government-owned and controlled corporations and financial institutions to participate in the President’s Summer Youth Program and exempting them from certain provisions of Administrative Order No. 265, current series.
2. In this connection, the Government Internship Program (GIP) component of the PSYP shall be implemented, with the Civil Service Commission as the overall coordinator. While the PSYP generally aims to encourage students and youths to engage in productive activities during the summer vacation, GIP on its part, acquaints and involves college, vocational and high school students and out-of-school youths ages 15 to 24 with programs and projects of participating departments and agencies.
3. Immediate dissemination of this Order is desired.
