1. Special Provision No. l4, page 73 of Republic Act No. 8745, otherwise known as the General Appropriations Act, FY 1999, provides for a lumpsum appropriation for the repair and maintenance of school buildings in the DECS budget.
2. This fund shall be administered by DECS Division Offices following the inclosed Guidelines for the Implementation of the Repair and Maintenance of School buildings. The project listings should be submitted on or before Thursday, 29 April 1999, by fastest means to DECS Central Office (c/o Attn.: Physical Facilities Division, Office of Planning Service).
3. It is directed that close monitoring of the implementation of this program be strictly enforced, with particular attention to the alternative Modes of procurement.
4. Immediate dissemination of and compliance with this Order is directed.
