Corrigendum to DepEd Order No. 10, as. 2002 Entitled: “School Calendar for SY 2002-2003”

Public and Private Elementary and Secondary School Heads

1.  The school calendar for SY 2002-2003 was issued through DepEd Order No. 10, s. 2002 dated April 3, 2002.
2.  Item “a” in the first paragraph of said DepEd Order should read: “The elementary and secondary school year shall begin on Monday, June 17, 2002 and end on Friday, April 11, 2003.”
3.  On the other hand, item “c” of the same paragraph should read: “The secondary school summer classes shall begin on Monday, April 21, 2003 and end on Tuesday, June 3, 2003.”
4.  The last day of classes should be April 11, 2003, not April 12, 2003 as stated in Enclosure 1.
5.  In Enclosure 2 of the same DepEd Order, (Number of Class Days, SY 2002-2003), there should be 20 days for the month of January 2003 instead of 22 days, and 8 days for the month of April 2003 instead of 6 days.
6.  Immediate and wide dissemination of this Order is desired.
