Intensive Supervisory Support to Elementary and Secondary Schools to Raise Their Achievement Rate in the National Achievement Test (NAT)

  1. The National Achievement Test (NAT) results in School Year (SY) 2010-2011 were reported in quartile distribution of Mean Percentage Scores (MPS) among schools, namely: Superior (76-100%), Upper Average (51-75%), Lower Average (26-50 %), and Poor (0-25%). The regions, divisions and schools were provided with this report by the Department of Education (DepEd) through the National Education Testing and Research Center (NETRC).
  2. The percentage of schools in quartile distribution in the NAT for Grade Six and Second Year is as follows:

    Lower Average 14.04% 67.10%

  3. To address the need to raise the learning outcomes among the schools which were classified under the Poor Achievement and Lower Average rates, all the divisions and the district supervisors are directed to provide intensive supervision to these schools.
  4. The regional directors (RDs) and the schools division/city superintendents (SDSs) together with their personnel/staff are advised to plan together on how this intensive supervision could work successfully.
  5. Immediate dissemination of and compliance with this Order is directed.
