DepEd R-I Enhances Regional and Divisions’ Administrative Workforce

City of San Fernando (La Union) – In conformity with the new structure of Rationalization Program of the Department of Education (DepEd), the administrative workforce of DepEd Region I and Schools Division Offices participated in the 3-day Regional Training on Enhancing and Strengthening Regional and Division Administrative Services held last August 26-28, 2015 at the Regional Educators Learning Center (RELC), City of San Fernando, La Union.

There were 50 participants to this activity composed of Administrative Officers, Human Resource Management Officers and Administrative Assistantsfrom different schools division offices in region I. The participants were able to develop their learning through the individual and group activities, question and answer opportunities, and presentation to each style of participant learning. The sessions were interactive and left the participants with a personal development plan on how they will use the learnings taught in the training.

Resource speakers were Dr. Cecilia P. Rosido, Chief of Policy, Planning and Research Division (PPRD), Mrs. Rosario D. Estimo, Teacher Credentials Evaluator II of the Personnel Section, Ms. Georgina N. Nerida, Administrative Officer II of PPRD, Ms. Marina G. Cabanero, HRMO and Mr. Romulo V. Nabua, HRD Chief of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) RO1, Mr. Ramon O. Caniezo, AO IV of the Personnel Section and Abraham M. Mendoza, Auditor of the Commission on Audit (COA) Region I.

Dr. Rosido discussed on creating the learning environment and the different strategies on HRMD while Mrs. Rosario D. Estimo dealt on the Reclassification of Position Conversion of Position and the Equivalents Record Form (ERF) Application Procedures for Teachers and Ms. Georgina N. Nerida gave updates on the Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) and the Filled and Unfilled Positions. Mr. Caniezo also gave updates on PSIPOP, Guidelines on the employee Welfare and Benefit (Retirement, Terminal Leave, Loyalty Pay) and Mr. Abraham Mendozadiscussed on Auditing Rules and Regulations.

Anchored on DepEd’s Vision, the training aimed to further enhance participants’ personal effectiveness and working practices, build stronger relationships, broaden their contribution to the workforce and achieve excellence in the service they provide and aid the agency in attaining one common goal.
