Healthier Services: DepEd RO1 Conducts Annual Physical Exam

San Fernando City, La Union – Inspired by their desire to render quality public service to clienteles, more than 100 employees of the Department of Education Regional Office 1 underwent Annual Physical Examination (APE) held at the Learning Resource Management Development Center (LRMDC), San Fernando City, La Union on May 19-20, 2016.

In coordination with the Lorma Medical Center, the employees submitted themselves to Complete Blood Count, X-Ray, ECG, Urinalysis, Fecalysis, and other laboratory and medical examinations.

Ms. Maricris A. Rimas, Nutritionist-Dietitian, Education Support Services Division (ESSD), said the two-day annual program is part of the summer health activity of the department which aims to maintain employee’s healthy lifestyle and to keep them aware of their health status.

The DepEd firmly believes that healthier public services can be offered to the clientele and stakeholders if the employees are also healthy, Rimas stated.

DepEd employees will be provided with the results of the APE in due time. Discretion to undergo further consultation and treatment will also be granted to the employees if the outcome of the APE necessitates.
