Department of Education Drug-Free Workplace Policy

  1. The Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed Drug-Free Workplace Policy to promote the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment in DepEd workplaces and schools, free from the use of dangerous drugs, to safeguard the health, safety and welfare of its employees, and to reduce health and safety risks to our learners and to the public.
  1. The policy includes the Drug Testing Program of DepEd and the guidelines on the conduct of authorized drug test for officials and employees, including teaching and non-teaching personnel of the Department.
  1. All DepEd Orders and other related issuances, rules and regulations and provisions, which are inconsistent with these guidelines are hereby repealed, rescinded, or modified accordingly.
  1. This policy shall take effect immediately upon its publication on 
  1. Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Order is directed.
